i found way to get a smart roadie into the u.s...

ok ok ok now what i found out that my uncle he has mexican paltes on his truck cause he hates smogging it... now what if i do that to a smart roadster cause hes had that truck for like 5 years now w/o any problems. and they do sell roadies in mexico unless you want to go to the u.k. buy a roadie over there then ship it to mexico then pick it up THEN register in mexico and drive around!!! i am not gona spend any more money!!! oh oh oh and if you need spare parts then order in advance cause my mom was ordering a part from germany 2 months ago and it just came in friday (for her mercedes) oh hint hint im in mexico right now and i gotta say they have ford ka's and renault megane's and fiat punto's all over the place including a few forfours and dfortwos and roadies!!!

Sounds like a good plan to me. I got a 2001 vw beetle from Mexico at my shop right now.

DO IT!!!
(there goes that chant again, like when the suicidal is on the bridge rail holding up rush-hour traffic... jump, jump, jump)

Then post pics!!!
(hopefully not through the chain-link at the impound yard... )

Actually, after seeing a roadster in Mazatlan last weekend, I had the same thought myself. Of course, the only smart roadsters you can get anywhere are used, and anything you buy in Mexico is going to have several years of south-of-the-border wear and tear on it. And insurance would be a bit of a problem.

Still, you can get something like this gray 2004 roadster with 50,000 miles on it for 160,000 pesos -- less than $11,000.

well i dont really care about wear and tear cause imma take it apart anyways cause my cousin builds his own lowriders and hes restoring his camaro and he doesny believe in imports or anything else and i tell him; you know what, lets get 15G's, goto mexico, get a smart roadster, regis., and import parts from germany such as rs-parts they have some tight stuff. what i was thinking originally was to goto the uk and export one to mexico but it would take longer. so we'll buy one in mexico instead and mod it, lighten it, and race it in nearby willow springs where we hope to get faster than a civic and beat one at it but this is something that i will absolutely do for sure and when i do i will take it everywhere to meets and stuff cause i want something nobody else has. who would want to spend 35k on a roadie already here???

heres tha one i want for sure =] ive always wanted a coupe so my mom cant steal it...
