For us non German speakers, more info please. Is this a concept car or the real thing, set for production? Thanks!

Smile Not a concept-car

Hi,

Mercedes needs more small cars because of the CO2 emissions, and in addition they have another problem: the Smartcenters all over europe had been planned for at least 5 models. Roadster, 42, 44, ForMore and MPV. Now the centers cannot survive with only one model.

This is not a concept. The photo is of course a computer simulation, but it will look like this.

Regards

Schaefca

Wink No fake...

@ bmx43:

As I wrote, it is a simulation, but the news was published in the biggest german car magazin Auto, Motor und Sport. They only publish real news, believe it or not.

With th engine in the back, this should not be too hard to do for Mercedes.

I tend to agree with SmartPassion on this. The auto companies are out to made money. It's a matter of demand. Look how U.S. Auto companies have revisited past vehicles like Charger, Mustang, and a bunch more.

Thank you for the post, I'm sure it is authentic, Particularly when you have provided your source.

I, for one, appreciate news regarding 'Smart' coming from that close to home..
