either manual or automatic trans, 2 or 3 replacement pedals

I think the 'ForFour' smart was really a Mitzubishi product. They were also sold in Mexico until that line was discontinued. There are also smart roadsters in Mexico but, at my age, they are hard to put on and take off. The roadster also lacks luggage space, but they sure are beautiful.

The forfour:

-Built upon the platform of the Mitsubishi Colt (the forfour shares nearly every drive component with the Colt, the only differences between the two are the Tridion Cell, the interior, and exterior)
-Front engine, front drive.
-The Tridion Safety Cell makes the forfour the safer version of the Colt.
-Available engines: 3 cyl MIVEC, 4 cyl MIVEC, 3 cyl cdi by MB.
-The forfour's concept is based on a lounge (unlike the Colt).
-Half of the forfour's roof is Makrolon (the fortwo's roof), other half is glass.
-Also considered a Super Mini like the smart (it's still one of the smallest 4 dr hatches).
-Built in the Netherlands.

Compared: The forfour is just way better equipped than the Colt, the interior of the Colt just looks cheap...The smart should be the original because it's so better...

I wonder: did the original forfour have a real Trideon safety cell? I wonder how it did in crash tests compared to the Colt.

Of course, the same curiosity goes for the new US-only Smart 5-door and the Nissan Micra.
