RE the rear faux rotors... I think they make it look better but the attention to detail Army trained eye always notices the lack of caliper and it buggs me too much
Looked and searched and I am really amazed there is no aftermarket real disk brake retro fit kits...
I know the drums are OK, but I prefer the ease of changing pads to the PITA of changing shoes.
I would install rear disks in a heart beat if there was a kit....
jwight, not sure if you are sarcastic or serious about the rear disk brakes, they may look nice but they are for show only, notice no caliper.
I'd like to say I was, but my eyes failed to notice the missing caliper. Too bad, rear discs would be a nice touch and they wouldn't need to be very big.

but they still look better then typical drum set up!
Well at that price (exchange rate and shipping) I will wait until we have a USA supplier... If they can get the rear disk brake kit in the $900~$1100 range-- I want and will buy
Else, Faux rotor for me...
Or I will just paint the calipers and drums to hide rather then expose.. (flat black vs Bright Red)
I was thinking a finned aluminum drum like the Honda Insight has would look great and save weight, and yes, changing those shoes sucks and I can't stand fake disk rotors and non functional appearance bling.

Yup, an iron-faced, aluminum (finned) drum makes a lot of sense. And "real" too.
sorry all not sure why my post above is all hosed up
on the 1010tires dot com web site (Canadian) is a tire and wheel series of calculators... you can poke in a lot of "what if" info and get intelligent comparison size and fact data then search if some one makes the size you need
Don, AWESOME wheel story with great pictures. Your car is perfect. i am interested in those wheels and contacted the fellow member/buckhead smart sales person. although he is importing sets of those wheels, he told me they are for their own customers first and will have to see what his local demand is first. while i understand, i perhaps will be taking the route you took. great price point too. thanks again for the pictures.
