I think the slats are the problem, one they will collect more brake dust, and make the wheel look cheap. Would look better without slats. That is how I see it. But not a bad deal. Just feel it doesn't fit the smarts lines.
My 2 cents

Don't see why not. But why would you do that? With the 15", you can put wider tires up front for better stability.

I think I would like the slat-less look. AC Schnitzer has something like that for BMWs.

3 spoke vs 9 spoke

My main concern is how well a 3 spoke wheel will hold up compared to the stock 9 spoke. There are tons of potholes etc. in New York. Also, so far in order to get tires other than Conti's you have to go to 16". Hopefully this will change soon.

Actually after putting more thought into it, I'd like a set with Black slats, but I would Have the wheel powder coated white before installing the tires.

White wheel with black slats would match my white/black passion great.

I beg your pardon.......I have four Michelin 185/60 - 15's on mine. Fit great, fill the wheelwells, but don't hit. Ride GREAT, corner many times better than stock Conti's, are quieter and should last many more miles. Only down sides are that they are a little taller (1") and it hurts the acceleration a little (but Doug Thorley brought it back) and while the speedo now reads right, the odometer is off 5.6%.

Russ, are you saying that you have 'these' wheels we are discussing? I'd love to see pics.

Nice to see some mainstream support coming on line. Steel wheels and snow tires?
