Air loss in stored smart tires

With a winter storm warning in effect, I removed my factory 16" front, 17" rear Brabus wheels and reinstalled the original 15" smart wheels. I was surprised to see that in 7 months, each wheel had lost over 30% of the recommended pressure.

Is it confirmed that the 2009 Brabus will have 15" wheels?!?

Don't forget that the temperature also impacts the inflation pressure. On average, a tire will lose about 1 psi per month, but will also drop 1 psi for every 10 degrees that the temperature falls.

As for the Brabus, the front wheels are 15" while the rears are 17". This was required to meet DOT crash standards.

Thanks for the info: maybe it was required so that Penske did not have to run the homologation tests again?
