I bought a set of four 6-1/2" wide Genius Darwins and a set of 195/55R15 Yokohama S.drives from Discount Tire's eBay operation. Less than two hours after closing the sale, I was phoned and asked if I'd like the tires mounted and balanced, which I declined (I had TPMS sensors to be mounted in the rims).

But not only did I get a really great price on the wheels (and the tires, too), but I also got a $100 "cash" rebate, in the form of a prepaid Debit Visa card (which is paying part of my collision work deductable) and a discount on the cost of mounting & balancing the sensors and tires at my local Discount Tire location.

That is "Customer Service," friends... That is how it's done.

I'll speak up again for Discount. I have had many years of great service from them on all sorts of different cars and trucks.

Although they were late to the party on Smart's, we still go out of our way to have them quote on our all tire needs.

But it seems ,last couple of times around, their pencil was not at all sharp and business went to "Tire Rack" I hate to change tires so it wasn't a case of DIY wins. A2Jack.
