Tire pressure monitoring

When I replaced my rims and tires I UPGRADED to the Orange electric system. I don't need an idiot light-I need to know what my pressures and temps are. Only $179 with sensors and monitor display.

Sounds like a solution but it ties up the 12v outlet in the car; did you add a second (or third) outlet?

To me, the 12 volt outlet is for temporary use.

This mod would only have to be connected to the 'switched side of the fuse box'.

I hard wired the display. Easy. There are tons of 2,3 even 4 outlet 12volt adapters available.

In case you want Genuine smart sensors we carry them in stock and offer them for only $250. Some dealers charge more than 2x that.

Thank you again for your support.

If you use the Orange Electronic Retro-fit sensors, won't the idiot light come on (the one on the dash)?

Can you make the idiot light go out without affecting anything else?

And if you do get the OEM equipment, is there something you must do to activate the 4 new sensors?

I ask because I would like to get another set of wheels for snow tires and I wouldn't want to have top go to the dealer twice a year, just to have them "activate" the sensors, if that's what they need to do.

A set of sensors for the smarts / some Mercedes is only 155.0 at Tire Rack. I haven't found anyone who can beat the price. The OE's aren't even marked as Mercedes or smart.
