Has anyone figured out how to break the light so the TPM will never turn on. I have had my tires swapped a few times and the TPM sometimes malfunctions. I hate the stupid feature.

Just curious, have you read the manual to reset the system? I've changed to larger tires, reset the system and never had it come on.
A set of sensors for the smarts / some Mercedes is only 155.0 at Tire Rack. I haven't found anyone who can beat the price. The OE's aren't even marked as Mercedes or smart.
These are the same ones Tire Rack sold me for $30 each.
I need to buy an extra set of tire pressure sensors. Is the mopar part number 1 56029400ac the same sensors as what's on the Smart? They're $30/each ($119.52 for the set plus they charge $12.99 to ship to CT), but are they the same TPS...i.e. do they work? It looks like it. Almost seems too good to be true.
They are mopar part number 1 56029400ac and can be picked up at a Dodge/Chrysler dealer if need be.Hope this helps.
I've bought a couple of these TPM systems for my other vehicles from Tire rack. They're very accurate. They give the tire pressure per tire, temperature of each tire and the voltage of my battery. However, tirerack keeps changing the brand for these, so whenever your sensor batteries die they likely won't have a replacement. I know whenever mine die, I'll have to throw the two units away because there's no replacement. They discontinue TMP frequently. But needless to say they're great and much better than what the Smart has, but I'm not going to upgrade my Smart system with these as I'd need to buy two systems One for each set of tires (winter/summer), and it's too much of a pain to switch it all over then have to worry about it malfunctioning after the one year warranty expires. If they guaranteed a replacement for the life of the "7 year" lithium batteries then I'd go with it, but in two years time they might not even exist as a company. At least that is what happened with the two systems I bought, they're no longer available. They work great, no problems and I've have them for a little over two years. It's kinda risky yet a much safer system to have on your Smart! I like them, just wish there was more longevity to the systems. I guess it's a relatively new technology that's going through changes.

It certainly looks identical to what is in the Smart.

They work great installed them on my wifes car over the weekend in the wheels I bought from Baby Benz. We even lowered the pressure in 1 tire to trigger the light to test them and they worked flawlessly. Same sensor wih the same Mopar part number as the original post has linked for $29 each. I paid $38 each from Tire Rack. Tire Rack aso sells the rebuild kit with new caps, nuts, washers and cores for $3 per unit (you do not need with new sensors).
Okay, this is great! I'm going to order for of em right now! Thank you for responding! That's some serious $$$ savings. I'm sure they're still making a pretty profit on these sensors at the volume they have to make now that it is mandatory on all 2008 or newer vehicles.
Want to let everybody know that I ordered that Mopar sensor, however they do not come with the service/rebuild kit, so you'll need to get that in order for it to attach to your wheel. Some Mopar tire pressure sensors come with them and some don't. The kit is about $3 each and I think the part number is SB20032, but don't quote me on that as I'm not sure yet.

As a Mopar parts dude, I can tell you that is NOT a "Mopar" number. If the sensors (PN 56029400AC) works, I'm using them if/when I need them. I can get them for 27.40ea and don't have to pay shipping (we keep them in stock!)
BUT I would like to see what the smart PN is. Does anyone have that info?
I may be able to cross it over to a different Mopar number. The above one does not have a MB number listed as an alternative number.......

I guess I wasn't clear. Yes, 56029400AC is the part number, BUT what I was trying to say was that Mopar tire pressure sensor does not include the nut that fastens it to the vehicle. That part number for the nut/washer, etc is I believe SB20032. SB20032 is NOT a tire pressure sensor but rather a service/rebuild kit which includes a valve stem, nut, two washers, etc.
Big Panda...do you sell the rest of the sensor? (the nut and washer) I've already bought the Mopar sensors, but I need the parts that fasten it to the vehicle.
