Did a little wheel detailing today.

I took all four of my wheels off today and did a little detailing. First, I put all of the "B" center caps facing the same way with the "Brabus" name at the bottom of the wheel. Then, I polished the inner barrels of the wheels. I also painted the calipers red, and the rotor hats and rotor edges satin black. I also painted the rear brake drums satin black. I think it really makes the wheels pop now and I never really liked the dull grey anyway.

Love the red calipers. I thought about doing that but they won't show on a Pure with full wheel covers.

VERY nice.......did you consider doing the rear drums in red as well? If so, why not? I'm thinking about doing the same thing, but with the drums in red also.

I really thought of doing the rear drums, too. I may do it this week, but I am afraid it may emphasize the car does not have 4 wheel discs. I will probably try one and see how it looks behind the wheels. The Brabus wheels show a lot through the spokes.

Here is a rear wheel showing all the air space around the spokes.

The paint is ceramic paint and can be bought in a kit from Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc. It comes in a few different colors. The paint is in a pint can and is brushed on. The kit includes, a brush, paint, spray brake cleaner, and a mixing stick. It sells for about $14.00 here in Florida. I did not remove the calipers to paint. Just cleaned them and brushed the paint on. Being ceramic paint, it flows on easily and drys with no brush marks. I will include a photo of another of my cars that I did the same way and a photo of my Corvette Z06 that has factory powder coated calipers. You really can't tell the difference. I am sure the powder coated calipers will stand up to higher heat, but I have had no problems yet with the three wheeler.
