Do you have take off rims?

I would like to purchase TWO (2) "take off rims" from some one that purchased other custom rims. Would like the less expensive ones from the "pure" since these new ones will only be used for a few months out of the year with studded snow tires.

THANKS

Our wheels are one piece and the rim is not removable, sorry forgot we are pandering to the "youth market" and will abort the language to that end...

Apparently, 1959 learned the same terms I learned as a kid. I knew exactly what he meant. You had a "tire", mounted on a "rim" which made a "wheel". One without the other did not make a wheel, because you needed all three to move your car.

Nowadays, people call the rim the "wheel" which is wrong.

Only two? If the idea is snow tires, fitting 4 all round is the best approach.

It should really be considered the only approach, because fitting just 2 winter tires is simply unsafe.

The wheels themselves are quite inexpensive ($70-$80 each) from smart, and the tires cost roughly the same.

I'd bet 1959 Imperial knows a thing or two about driving in the snow, and knows that the most benefit will be gained by snows in the rear. This whole "four matching mud and snow tires" thing is a bow to the fact that current M&S tires are compromises that allow running them all year. Also due to the fact that front wheel drive cars handle completely differently from RWD. All hail the vast army of safety minded drones, who know that drivers can't be trusted to figure out that winter takes different driving than summer.

Only if you never attempt to stop or turn.

AMEN Godfather, so many people on her feel as if it has to be their way or the wrong way.

That is why so many people are stuck and they never improve or feel like they can learn anything from others.

Heaven forbid, anyone look to the past, because everything that is done now is WAY better than anyone did anything 50 years ago.

Oh btw isnt there a big push to go to electric cars? Werent those some of the first cars built and then we changed to gas? Seems like a full circle.

Thanks for the correction on the nomenclature - winter tires, not snow tires (my bad) Different rubber compound for cold temperatures than our OEM "all season" tires. So, with only two on the rear, better grip on the driven wheels (good), less grip on the steering and primary braking wheels (bad) - but it's the OP's car so he should do whatever he wants.
