Factory inflator kit replacement

At some point we may need to do this and the factory version is pretty expensive. Here's an alternative, made by the same folks who make the stock tires, and available at Tire Rack for $79: Continental ContiComfortKit

The folks at slime also sell several similar kits: Slime Portable Flat Tire Repair Kits May. Bike Month. Be Slime Month.

Walmart has two . . .

Walmart has two of the Slime Spair kits.
Smart Spair 15 Minute Emergency Tire Repair (#SS-PDQ/06) priced around $20

and the #50001 Power Sport Smart Spair
Power Sport Smart Spair (#50001) priced about $30.

Main difference seems to be the size and quality of the compressor.

Has anyone got any opinions about the quality of the Slime Tire Sealent itself? That's the stuff you put in your tire to prevent general tire flats in the first place. I saw some the other day and it was so cheap that I didn't really trust its effectiveness!

I assume that the admonitions concerning the TPMS with the Contenental kit also apply to the OEM kit. And Slime.

The thought of paying a good bit extra to have a goo'd tire cleaned out before repair, and then a new TPM and stem (or a set of TPMs and stems) doesn't do much for me. I'll try the plugging kit first, even if I have to carry the jack and wheel dis-mounting tools in the tailgate. In either case, I'll still use the re-useable OEM compressor (that and the tow eye now stowed more conveniently in the tailgate with the jack and tool kit).

Some of our Canadian 450 members used the factory sealant which promptly ruined the tire. I'd use Ride-On Tire Protection System (TPS) Tire Sealant (Tyre Sealant)

I do the same as Old smart, $20 aluminum jack from VW Jetta (junk yard price), wheel lug wrench (Walmart), plug kit, and original compressor.

I'm sort of with Old Smart . . . I keep a Nealy repair kit in the glovebox and have a jack and breaker bar/socket in the tailgate if needed.
I must admit I've been intrigued with the Ultraseal claims and am tempted to get a gallon from our vendor here and try it out on my two vehicles + riding mower. Supposedly cleans up with water if needed for repairs; and the Postal Service seems to think it's pretty good stuff.

I've used my Nealy on a sidewall repair on my two wheeler! Got me home to change tires

I too am leaning towards the Ultraseal. Let us know your thoughts once installed, SubSlr88
