Genius Wheels?

Does anyone know if Genius is planning on coming out with other styles of wheels? If they are, do you know when? Also, does anyone know the name of the wheels on the S-mann demo car (silver car with silver 5 spoke wheels)? Are these wheels available anywhere?

Thanks!

Thats a good question. I would imagine so if the 1st version continues to sell well.

S-Mann wheels

I can get you the S-Mann wheels if you'd like but be warned... they are EXPENSIVE! Last time I checked the cost, including shipping and import fees was around $2k.

I do have my own wheels arriving this month, though. Pricing hasn't been set 100% but they will be competitive with what is currently available. Sizing is 17x7.5 front and 17x8.5 rear.

IMO they look nice but for the price you can find even a better set of rims.

Pricing isn't set yet, but my wheels will be comparable to what is currently available.

Dan,

Somehow I missed this thread earlier. The new body and lens treatments looked great.

And the wheels-- I was looking for pics on your web site after you mentioned them (update your site!)-- the wheels are clean and simple looking. I like them.

Inquiring minds want to know... cuanto es?

Cheers,
Timo

As the distributor of both S-Mann and Genius wheels here is the info we have:

The TSW, the manufacturer of the Genius wheels has no current plans to offer any new styles of wheels for the smart. Their line has done very well and is currently sold out. We have the last set (1) of 17" wheels left in US and several sets of 15" wheels. There are still some 15" wheels floating around, but the 17" are gone. More are coming in later March or early April.

The wheel on the S-Mann site is no longer being made (as told to me personally by S-Mann) and he is not really interested in getting more done due to their high cost and low demand. He personally told me (when we had someone interested in a set) that he could have them done, but the cost would be too high and he did not feel comfortable charging that much for that type of wheel. He is a very nice, honest guy and a real smart car enthusiast.

Currently there are a number of other options for wheels for the smart car. We offer 90% of what is available in the market place and as new wheels get introduced we will most likely have them available. If you have time check out our site for a variety of wheel options.

Thank you
