Thank you for your order John.

As promised your wheels shipped out yesterday by UPS and are scheduled to arrive on the 17th. If we can ever be of any assistance do not hesitate to contact us.

Respectfully,

Boris -

It doesn't appear that Yokohama makes a 225/40-17. Was this a typo?

Yokohama Tire

Boris. Do you know if the wheel manufacturer is planing to make wider 15" sizes?
I would like to see 15x7 at least, 15x7.5 ideal for the Bridgestone RE11's. there are plenty of high performance tires in 15" sizes that the manufacturers may call 195-50-15 or 205-50-15 that are in reality as wide as some 225mm tires. I don't like the 17's in such a small car and the 15x6.5 are barely wide enough to make the most use of those tires.
This are a little more performance than most guys care for, I know.

yes that was a typo,i talked to boris and tim,and i ordered 225-35-17 tires for the rear,i was planning on not switching the stock tire sensors,i was just going to leave them on the stock wheels and tires.I live in jersey and the winter can be rough,so i will put the stock back on when it gets cold,is this a big deal to mount my new wheels with no sensors???i will just cover up the sensor light on the dash with a well cut piece of electrical tape.

Unexpected Surprise

I dropped off my Smart today at the local Remus dealer, who is currently installing the exhaust that I bought from SmartMadness.

I noticed that they also sold Yokohama tires. While checking on their S-Drive prices, I found out that they are also a dealer for Genius wheels. Their price: $576 for the set... no shipping.

The whole rig - rims, tires, mounting, balancing, sensors, tax, etc. came to $1,235.

One can get the TPMS light disabled by the dealer if well cut electrical tape isn't the desired way to go.

You are more than welcome and thank you!

The rear tire size was either 215/35-17 or 225/35-17. The 40 series was a typo...Sorry.

If you want more of a stretched look go for the 215 for a fuller look go for the 225. We install 225's. They are about $10 more per tire, but they save the wheel if you ever get to friendly with a curb.
