Has 18" wheels ever been put on a smart..ever?

i want to know if its ever been tried. Any problems that might occur? rubbing issues, fender gap issues, rubbing on struts etc. I know it may be a crazy question, but for some reason, i can find alot more blank wheels in 18 then 17 or smaller....18*8 +35offset

I'm sure it can be done, I see many American sedans with gargantuan wheels on them, they raise the suspension to make them fit.

There was a 450 with 18"s over here in the UK many years ago, it was a show car which was lucky because a bigger than normal bump would cause the wheel to become wedged in the arch.

The 451 has bigger arches but I'm not sure i'd try to go that big.

With enough money anything is possible... 28" lift with 24s and spinners if you are silly enough!

I think for daily driving 17's are the max practical but require some serious thought to do correctly
