While installing my new Genius Darwin 17" rims with new Yokohama tires, I added Orange Electronics TPMS system (awesome and nicely trick), but now have the TPMS idiot light on. Any idea how to get rid of it, short of dismantling the cluster and pulling the LED?
Someone mention that dealerships can deactivate TPMS system for $$. I would suggest to take the cluster apart and just block the LED with piece of foam. It will take you 10 minutes.

Cube,
Thanks for the response-I'll visit Evilution's site and try to get an idea of how difficult that is-I'm one of those that if I try it, I'll break something or screw it up royally and the only thing that will work when I'm done is the TPMS idiot light!!!
if you'd like to see it done, JohnH's video of how to install his cruise control LED in the instrument cluster will show you how easy it is to take out and disassemble the cluster. http://somesmart.info/LEDvideo/LED-MPEG-4%20.mp4
Mvaldes, thanks for taking the time, but the link doesn't work. Perhaps the best bet for me is to take it in to the dealer, as I have another issue they need to fix-the aux plug for the radio doesn't work, so I can't use the iPod. It works in all the other vehicles, so the problem has to be in Maxwll.

Here is Evilution guide on how to disassemble the speedo.
It is actually way easier then it is sounds.
Dealer might or might not work with you on the TPMS because of the liability issue.

Cube,
I have put in Orange Electronics TPMS, which gives actual pressures and temps, as well as alerts for both high and low temp/press. Should be no liability issue there.???

Cube,
I first need to say "THANKS" for the guidance. I may try to buy a speedo cluster and play with that, but I don't want to screw up my instrument cluster and be parked. I really don't have much talent with things electrical, and pulling on things usually results in breaking those "flimsy" clips. The EVILUTION site is awesome-I spent hours looking at it, and will be using quite a bit of the info. I have a huge list of things I want to do that are within my ability (I can do nuts and bolts, but really cause myself issues when I mess with electrics/electronics).
FWIW, the link worked for me. Gotta wait a little bit for enough of the video to download into the buffer before it can play.
SE, I waited 10 minutes, had a 'done' message at the bottom of the page, but still no video, so I guess this is just an issue with my computer. Thanks for the input.
