Just put 17's on my Smart

here are a few pictures of my car (on the left) with johnny's car (also a member). he did all the work at his shop zen speed (zenspeed.com) here in jacksonville. i bought 17inch mercedes c-class sport wheels on ebay. johnny painted flat black for me and i bought the 3-5 lug adapters from him. i am super stoked at the look of the wheels on my car.

That's right, just call us the Doppelganger Gang. Weird thing is that we even sort of resemble each other physically... Josh has cooler sunglasses though.

Both cars are using Mercedes OEM take-offs, 17x7.5 front, 17x8.5 rear. P195/40/17 and P225/35/17 respectively. I've got the Pirelli P-Zero's, Josh has the Yokohama S-Drive's. The Yokos have a more perpendicular sidewall than the Pirellis (which sort of slope) and in my opinion look better. Cooler tread too. Both cars are using our (ZenSpeed) 3 to 5 lug adapters.

That's right kids, we thuggin' here in the Dirty South.. I have to check with my Evil Twin, but I think we're blacking out our headlights next..

Cheers,

Johnny

yikes! so much more un-sprung weight no? I bit too big IMO. but, they (the wheels themselves) do look nice.

i gotta be honest with you, it doesn't bother me as i don't track the car. with my porsche, i might agree but on a smart car its all about the looks. the car doesn't feel any different with the bigger wheels on it taking off from a stop. wider tires MUCH more stable on the road.

The tires are the lightest black on the car. Looks absolutely wicked.
