Kahn RS-R Alloy Wheels - Made for Smart

I just bought some 15" Kahn's online for 87 pounds ($174) each plus shipping from the UK. I expect them in 10 days. I really hate the look of the alloys that came with my cabrio. I plan to put winter tires on those.

Anyway, I'm happy to get these sleek ones! Hope you like the clean design (which in my opionion should be easier to clean). Thanks, Regina

What size/offset did you get? I'm a fan of 5-spoke, but I prefer 2-3 piece construction so it 's stronger. That's not a bad price though.

I hope I don't give your heart failure Regina, but the link claims they are 374 pounds each!! (I didn't see anything to suggest thats 374 pounds per set of 4??)

edit: nevermind...I stand corrected - had to click further into the link to read the full description. They are sold as set /4!
(that would be an outrageous price otherwise!)

ps: forgot to mention- nice looking!

Yep, £1496.00 for four, or roughly $2,900. Plus shipping. Ouch!

OK, just read the edit above. Don't panic!

I could see 2.9k if they were 3-piece forged lightweight aluminum. I paid $850/wheel for my 8. Plus $125/wheel for a custom powder coating. But then those are 3-piece, rare, and very wide. Then an additional 1.2k for a set of Toyo Proxes 285/30/19.

Btw I thought our bolt pattern was 3 x 112.5?

I've been assured the rims will fit the US 451 without any adjustments. If not, money back guaranteed. By the way, I didn't purchase the wheels from Kahn directly. Got them cheaper through an official distributor. Thanks, Regina

i don't mind the wheel. but don't see a point in replacing a 15 with a 15. if they had it in 16 or 17, i'd be all over it.

I see a lot of people who buy wheels 2-3" larger than the stock setup and that creates problems. A larger wheel is heavier and has more weight further away from the center of the wheel, thus adding a LOT of unsprung rotational mass. As a result the car goes much slower, and gets much worse gas mileage. The most I ever increase on my cars is 1". This allowed for a smaller sidewall and therefor less flex around corner. I always offset that 1" however by getting a much lighter wheel. If the RPF1 was available for this car that would be the only wheel I'd buy.

Btw Regina, nice color. That's the same setup I chose
