You're no more likely to rash a Rial spoke than a spoke on a stock passion wheel. Besides, who hits curbs? It's a tiny and easy to park car. The tire is beyond the rim's edge, much less the spokes, so one can drive down a curb scuffing their tire to their heart's content without touching the wheel. In fact the stock alloy wheels on my wife's Honda Pilot EXL have spokes that stick out past the rim's edge a bit. They're much more in the line of fire than the ones on a Rial. Her Pilot has 50k miles and all the wheels are perfect.
The bright side (for anyone who manages to rash a Rial wheel) is that a replacement is only a $123 visit to Discount Tire away.
Edit: Forgot to mention I think those Rondell wheels do look great. I like simple wheels without a bunch of drama, fake two piece fasteners and all the rest of that nonsense. As a bonus, like our Rials, these Rondells will be super easy to clean.
