rubbing in front with 17s?

Finally tried swapping the Brabus rears to the front and driving it. Rubs at a high spot in the liner right next to the strut.

Did a search and read the threads. Looks like lowered with wider than 6.5 and more tire than 195 will rub up front.

Anybody that's rubbing any issues? Seems to be a body seam under the liner right where it's rubbing.

You would be rubbing on the spring perch to be exact. brabus wheels need a 3mm spacer up front. I have 7" wide rims up front and use a 10mm spacer with a 195 tire

i'm thinking of going with 15x6 wheels and 195/50-15's all around, the car is not lowered. do you think there will be a problem?

Not the perch, it is very close but won't hit.

Tire is rubbing plastic liner, but not at full lock like you might expect. Inside edge is hitting at the top at full strut compression.

A small spacer should fix that...just make sure you have room on the outer fender, and don't end up rubbing there. If that happens, you'll need smaller tires
