Would be nice to have a spare but where would you put it??

The spare can go behind the passenger seat.
Having TPMS, by the way, does not preclude checking the tire pressures manually with a gauge. I do that, but also have the TPM system which is very useful since it does alert you if the pressures are getting too low, or if there is a fast leak while driving which can be a safety feature and save both your skin and the tire's.
In fact, I have bought after market Pressre Monitoring systems that I insall on the valve stems of other vehicles. My preference is the type that continually, or with a press of a button, tell you exactly what pressure the tire has. This way, as well, you can monitor the increased pressure while driving which can tell you whether the cold pressure was set properly. For general driving, a 10% increase in hot pressure is what to look for. If the increase is appreciably greater then the cold pressures are too low, and if the increase is less then they are probably too high.
