Another congratulations and many happy, safe miles of enjoyable driving. The compact spare confuses me though.Probably I just don't understand where you plan on storing it that saves much space. I keep my spare (full size front) tire behind the driver's seat so the space used behind the seat is mostly the width of the rim. True, the tire sticks up a bit higher than the level of the engine compartment cover, but I've yet to find that it interferes with loading/carrying stuff.

I would say it would work fine IF you took out fuse 11. That would disable all of the above issues with the ESP

Carrying the items needed to change a flat is rather easy. All you need are a jack, lug wrench breaker bar, and wheel chocks. These items fit ealily in the trunk lid. The spare tire stores behind the the driver's seat in a Tire Rack carring bag with felt covers. A very neat and workable package. With this setup, I don't worry at all about having a flat.

Space saver tire

Guys, thanks for your input on the compact spare. I'm gonna try hunting one down at the local junk yard. T125/70D15 is what is being used, correct?
