Tire Pressure Warning came on today

On my way out today while I was stuck in traffic I noticed my tire pressure light was on. I turned the radio off while I drove to listen to the car, and make sure there were not flat tire sounds, all was quiet, it drove fine. I got off and went to the gas station to check the pressure, and all the tires were inflated fine, actually a few digits above recommended. Looked around for nails, nothing. I cleared the light and went on my way, it didn't come back on for the rest of the ride there or back. I also had a strange problem mentioned earlier regarding beep beep beep: Beep beep beep (interior alarm)

I'm taking it in Thursday to have them look at these various problems. All seems to be electronic so far, though sometimes the shifter is a bit funky sometimes (put it in R and it says N on the screen.)

I had the came thing happen about a week or so ago. It was 12 degrees that morning, so I thought it might have been the low temp, but I don't think your temps have been that low.

I also have beep thing going on. I have an appointment Wednesday morning for the linkage checkout, so I'll mention it while I'm there.

Yeah we don't get temps that low here! Temp gauge said it was around 44 before I left, and I let the car run for like 5 minutes before I took off.
Keep me posted, let me know what they say!

Do you know you car warms up the quickest under light load and things like shocks and tires need to warm up as well. To "baby" your car drive off after idle has stabilized. Keep to about half you normal speed until it warms up. Running at idle is considered severe service...

Karl, would you explain that again. I don't understand the difference between letting the idle stabilize and running at idle. Don't you have to sit there once you turn it on and let it run for a minute until it calms down. That's what I thought you meant as stabilize. But isn't that also letting it run at idle? What I am misinterpreting?

every time you stop for a light you will idle, not going to kill you but you are getting 0 mpg. The idle will stailize in just a few seconds on a computer controled car. In days of old you had to "let it run a bit" so it would not stall no longer an issue. Far as I know there is no running your car police here in the USA yet. Give it time

Actually there are "running your car" police in some areas. A local city has been reported to be issuing tickets to people who leave their unattended cars running. This happens mostly during the morning period. It is, however, to reduce auto theft, not to reduce polution.
