I actually have the Pure wheels, would you be willing to trade in with those? i've been looking to possibly swap mine out for the de corsa. You guys are actually quite a drive for me but i was thinking about making a road trip out of it.

I see the de corsa uses the same wheel size as the standard, but the lorinsa uses 17" - i also like the
smart car Lorinser 17" Speedy Custom Wheels in Satin Black for your 451 fortwo model

My question though, what tire size goes with those wheels, and is that a more common wheel size? reason i ask is because i'm looking to swap out to a more common wheel size so if i get another blow out it will be easier to get a spare.

Blah I just called they don't make the Lorinser in 15" which styling wise is what I'm after. I was stammering like fool on the phone I'm not sure who the girl was who answered but she probably thinks I'm nuts. I get way nervous with people I don't know. If I got 17" tires and rims wouldn't that throw off my speedometer as it was calibrated for a 15" wheel". I asked the lady but she didn't know off hand but didn't notice any difference on their cars with the bigger wheels.

The wheel size doesn't matter, as long as the overall combined tire/wheel diameter doesn't change. With a 17" wheel, you'll have to go to a lower profile tire to maintain that diameter. It won't change the speedo accuracy too much, if at all, and may even make your speedo *more* accurate...

OTOH it *will* change the car's ride comfort and handling characteristics. Whether the change is for the better or worse is up to you.

I've got the 17" Lorinser's plus the Smart Madness springs and am very happy with the ride, improved handling and stance. BTW, don't be nervous around Rachel, she's very cool and is "one of the guys" when it comes to cars.
