What tires are you using on your 17" wheels?

Hey Everyone,

I am interested to see what tires everyone is using on there 17" wheels? I just purchased a set of 17" wheels and I am looking to get tires. I see everywhere that the recommendations are for the Yokohama S-Drive 195-40-17 (front) and 215-35-17 (rear). Those would be great if I lived in a climate that does not see winter but live in the Midwest and summer tires are not the best around here. I am looking to see if anyone out there has found any all-season alternatives. I would prefer that the tires are matched and that the rear does not affect the speedometer. please let me know what you all are using and what your thoughts on your tires may be. Also if you can let me know if your car is lowered or not, what your wheels are, and if you have any rubbing issues.

Thanks,
Andy "Sr Swatch"

A lot of people that have smarts and live in Canada have a set of summer wheels and a set of winter wheels. It seems that winter tires in the sizes you are looking for are extremely rare at best.

Lower diameter, thinner wheels/tires work better in snow and ice. Also, having a separate winter set of wheels and tires will keep those nice 17inch wheels from getting messed up by all the salt and gravel that gets put on the roads in the winter.
