From the picture to me it looks like 2 short bolts from adapter to hub and the third long bolt and remaining 4 bolts thru the 5 bolt wheel

Aiiieeeeeee...

I was just making sure that you understood that the adapter was held on with a *total* of three bolts just like the OEM rims (two short SHCSs and one long "shared" wheel bolt), as it appeared that you were assuming that only two total bolts held on the adapter. I should have been more clear, but just assumed that you had probably already read either my site or the eBay ad, both of which are pretty clear about how the adapters mount.

We all on the same wavelength now, or are you still thinking that the only thing holding the wheel and adapter on are two bolts?? 'Cause, you know, it's three. Right? Get it? Capite?!? The two magic special ones we give you, and one of your very own lug bolts. Three bolts, just like stock. And then five bolts holding on the rim, just like stock, only two better.

Am I explaining this wrong??

Cheers,

Johnny

Easy there Skippy. Don't get so condescending. I made my adaptors 3 months ago and know how they attach, but the way you described it sounded as though you weren't using the thru bolt.

"Skippy"?? Uh, no problem Buttercup. I'm surprised that someone who made his own adapters would have such a difficult time grasping what I was saying, but whatever Punkin'.

Thanks for your input, such as it is.

Search for "Mercedes Wheel". You'll get hundreds, 99.9% of which would work. Again, you're looking for 15, 16 or 17" 5x112 wheels with offsets in the high 30's or low 40's. Up to 7.5 front, up to 8.5 rear.

If you had a specific set in mind we'd be happy to help you make sure they're cool.. (Just don't go calling me "Skippy"..

Cheers,

Johnny

Smartbillet,

Why are you reluctant to market and sell the product you have built? Is there something "we" as the consumer need to be looking at when we are in the market for an adapter?

Johnny,
What is the thickness of your adapter? With this thickness, whats the optimal offset for a wheel to not stick out from the factory fender line?

I'm absolutely in the market for a set but need to know what wheels I will be matching to the car before hand.

I built them for my use and don't care to make any more of them. Plain and simple. You don't have to "read" anything into.
If you want to buy some, get them from Skippy.
BTW, since you're a moderator, why is he allowed to promote the sale of his "product" if he isn't a supporting vendor???
