I'm absolutely in the market for a set but need to know what wheels I will be matching to the car before hand.
We measured a bunch of wheels and came up with 22mm as the best thickness. A 7 - 7.5" wide wheel with 42+mm of offset should tuck nicely. My fronts are 17 x 7.5 with only 36mm of offset and they're just a tick past even. Most of the aftermarket wheels we measured were in the 40+mm range, so you shouldn't have trouble finding wheels. And again, I'm happy to look at a specific rim you're considering and let you know if it looks like a good fit..)

Cheers,

Johnny

If you want to buy some, get them from Skippy.
BTW, since you're a moderator, why is he allowed to promote the sale of his "product" if he isn't a supporting vendor???
Ahhhh, now I get it...

I'm not promoting anything, just responding to someone else's thread. Why does that make you so hostile? It's not like I'm on here hawking custom van parts, or whatever it is y'all are making out there, so why are you so tweaky about it?? I mean, seriously, where's your dog in this fight??

Peace out, Slappy.

Does this mean we aren't going to be buddies?

(And I was just about to chuck up a ball mill and make a set with flames cut into them, just for you..)

Seriously cousin, lighten up.. We just misunderstood each other, no need to get all weird. It's a great big world out there, plenty of room for both of us.

Your pal,

Skippy

At no time did I ever use the term "sketchy" in my original post and I did just state the facts. If anything I would hope maybe a "thanks" would be in order for increased sales and traffic to you. Guess not. - Al

The fronts appear to be 7.5x17 et 37 (37mm offset) which is ok, but the backs (if I'm reading them correctly) seem to be 8.5x17 et 30, which is way too little offset and would stick WAY out. It might be because they're SLK wheels?? There are several cars running around on 17" C class wheels, (including mine) and they're cool, but these seem to have less offset in the rears than the ones we've used before.

Cheers,

Johnny
