What would it take to lower the price? $300 is too much for such a small amount of aluminum when you consider I can buy an entire set of new 17's for that price. Are you offering a group buy for $199 or less?

Jesus, you wouldn't survive in Europe. Over here they retail for about $500.

You could get a car for $300 but it would be s***. I bet these $300 alloys aren't exactly top quality.

You can't judge a price on the amount of metal it uses, they hold the wheels to the car, that's quite an important job. If you don't like the price, don't buy them.

Amen, couldn't have said it better myself. It's like that old Bell Helmets slogan: "If you have a $10 head, get a $10 helmet."

I'm reluctant to get into pricing discussions here, as I'm not a registered vendor, but you're getting top quality materials, produced on state of the art machinery to exacting tolerances by people who know what they're doing. That has a value. Additionally, have you checked the price of billet aluminum lately? All metals have gone through the roof...

Of course, if you think you can do them with the same quality at a lower price, go for it..

Cheers,

Johnny

Oh, and regarding DOT or TUV...... C'mon, be serious.

I have never had any luck with adapters in the past since they have to be re-torqued on a regular basis among other issues. Anyways I have a budget and your adapter plus a set of fancy Mercedes/Lorinser wheels breaks it for me.

I have a maximum of $2500 for the entire car and I already have a $400 DTH exhaust and $200 H&R springs on the way. Future: Wheels+tires ($700), and I plan to wait on Breathless Performance to develop a true CAI ($$$ not sure). Then add a re-flashed ECU ($700) to complete the car's extra 25whp transformation. If anyone is doing same thing, cheers to all.

Evilution: I have driven V-E-R-Y FAST (184mph in a car, and 192mph on a mototrcycle) and believe me, you are not driving a race car with a top speed of 85mph - woohoo!!), so the wheels do NOT have to be great.

I thought a GROUP BUY would help you out so I wish you the best of luck on the adapters. Fancy wheels for our cars are just for bragging rights, and I am only interested in increasing perfomance and not looks.

Oh the $700 for the wheels is just to buy another set of rear factory wheels to be put in place of the front wheels - then add some REALLY sticky tires all around for top traction. Perfomance - got to love it!!

85mph is fast enough if you suddenly find you have 3 wheels.

I don't see how due to the statement on the eBay site saying that they are intended for racing and off-road use only. The rest of the statement would also seem to confer all responsibility to the purchaser.
