Called several wheel manufacturers already. The impression I got is a wait and see attitude.

The tire rack has correctly offset 6 spoke Rial Le Mans wheels that are I think 7 inches wide. They are unfortunatly only in 15 inch dia. at this time.

OK....if you're going for the bling factor, why not spinners? I recently saw a video on YouTube of a smart in Scandanavia somewhere with spinners!!

Maybe someone could make some adapters to change the bolt pattern. As long and you allow for the backspace (offset) that might work.
The 5 Spoke wheels with the 295/45/R18 tires off my Ford Lightning probably weigh more than the entire Smart.. :-)

old sgm

You have not been following the Euro Smart Web sites.. and we have many posts here on it.... no sweat the site is a lot to absorb and some of it hard to find too

There are already 3 to 5 adapters the bolt circle of 112.5mm is maintained to allow use of Mercedes wheels. The adapters can be sourced in different widths I think from 25 to 45mm

They are specifically not allowed by Smart for safety reasons...

I am thinking a different angle... why not just drill the hub for 5x 112.5mm and tap for the correct thread? Any good machine shop can properly index the holes... rotors and drums will need to be done too

i inquired on some wheels at smarts-r-us in UK. shipping is around $400US for a set but no VAT for ship to US. still seems like a big premium to pay.

i'm heading over to taiwan in a few weeks. plan to see what they have over there and hopefully bring some back.
