Several posts on wide tires I've 194/40/17 on the front 225/35/17 on the back. Eibach lowering springs. It will rub a little bit in front full turn. In the back there is plenty of room to go wider. Check my gallery if you want to see wheels. pics are pre springs. I still haven't gotten any with it lowered. It'l have to wait till spring I've got the stock wheels back on for winter.

My car is SLAMMED with 205/35/17's on the rear 8.5" wide wheels. Front is using 195/40/17 on 7.5" wheels.

There is rubbing, but only because the spring rates are way off. 1/2" clearance between fender and tire with no tire gap.

Best,

-Dan

I've got the same configuration except H&R springs. Mine never rubs.

im currently running 16 inch 205 40 on a 7.5 inch rim.
the diameter is .2 smaller than stock 15inch tires which should help a bit on the rotational mass.. but the rims are 3lb heavier than the stock 15 think that will affect performace much?

Not more than gaining 3 pounds of weight probably

Yeah, I reckon you will notice the difference @ 3lb of unsprung mass. Daily driving maybe not, but in Autocross or sporty driving, yep, it will be apparent.
