No - on the contrary. It's puzzling how you could come to that conclusion.

I was responding to your comment that you prefer to have less pressure for the sake of "comfort over milage [sic] or longevity of the tires".

Just 'joined' this club today. I got the Rial Le Mans from Tirerack, 15x6 all around.

Wrapped in 195-50-15 Yoko S Drive.

I tested lock-to-lock tonight and got NO rubbing with the 15x6 wheels/tires up front. The wheels/tires now come out to be flush with the front fenders now, rears look to be a smiggen more flush as well.

I went this route since I was sick and tired of the staggered set-up inducing more understeer than the suspension already did. Time will tell if this helps with that or not. But it should also help with highway manners and aggressive turn-in as well. Added bonus of being able to rotate them front-to-rear (due to directional tires) if I want/need to.

I went with the 175's on rears for the front and every time I hit the interstate I marvel at how much better it handles, requiring much less input on the drivers part. Best thing since sliced bread!

I have been unsuccessful so far with OEM rears on the front but each time I tried them I had directional tires on the rear. First time 195/50 Kumos and now 175/55 Blizzak snows. I had to put the OEM fronts back on because the stability control system would kick in while cornering. I'll try it again when I replace the Blizzaks with OEM 175/55s. That will be the first time I will have all four corners with OEM rear wheels and tires.

It's been about 2 weeks now since I got my set of rear stock Passion rims with the stock rear rubber installed on the front. It makes a remarkable difference in the ride and handling. Sharp bumps (such as the RR tracks I have to cross every day going to and from work) are significantly less harsh than with the stock fronts. The freeway ride is less twitchy, and it doesn't track the ruts in the pavement nearly as much either. The understeer is noticeably reduced as well. Before it felt as if it was sort of "lowering a shoulder" while going into a turn, whereas now it seems much happier to just go around without "plowing". Tire pressure numbers are the same as with stock...29 PSI front, 36 PSI rear. Seems to work just fine.

Now the only thing I have to do is decide what to do with the stock front wheels and tires...do I keep them, do I sell them, or just sell one and keep one for a spare...decisions, decisions, decisions! lol I even thought about getting a complete 2nd set of rims for summer tires, and once the stock Continentals are worn out use the original Passion rims for winter tires.

Bottom line, I'm very satisfied with the change...glad I went ahead and did it.
