Now that I getting close to my dde date it keeps moving up!!! just annoying evey day I check it thinking I am one day closer but nope it moves up just annoying to be so close and it keeps moving away. Extremely annoying (like holding a carrot in front of a horses mouth and never letting him get it) wanted to see if others have seen this! My dates go as follows:
8/24/2008 to 11/22/2008
8/22/2008 to 11/20/2008
8/20/2008 to 11/18/2008
8/19/2008 to 11/17/2008
8/18/2008 to 11/16/2008
8/17/2008 to 11/15/2008
8/16/2008 to 11/14/2008
8/25/2008 to 11/23/2008
9/16/2008 to 12/14/2008 First actual date!

Good for you. A lot of us have felt your pain (I'm feeling it too ). Check it out - over 600+ posts and 60+ pages of people in the same boat as you. If you haven't run across the thread yet it'll help you decipher the DDE even more. I find post #578 from parnami especially helpful as it describes my situation at the moment to a "T". just a update dealership sent me a email saying 40 - 70 days away. But DDE keeps moving!! Currently it is now at 9/6/2008 - 12/5/2008. is has been moving for 20 days now (daily.)

My has moved up one day at a time since 8/4/08 and it froze today at a DDE of 9/11/08 to 12/10/08.
Maybe it has been shiped or built today. It's all guess work unless the dealer can verify at what stage things are.
Looks like we may be on the same boat, my dealer E-Mailed me on 8/28/08 that the car has been built and ETA of September 24.
My DDE stuck to 9/11/08 to 12/10/08 since 8/25/08
So I think the DDE may backtrack to 8/24/08 assuming I do get the car on 9/24
