My DDE was 6/14 to 9/14 until about 2 weeks ago. Now it's 7/4 to 10/5. My sales rep tells me the car is built and stuck in customs. I talked to his boss who told me it hasn't been built yet. This is quite agrevating since it's been 13 1/2 months since ordering.

Mine was 6/15/2008 to 9/13/2008. It has moved twice, and most recently is 7/25/2008 to 10/23/2008.

I have heard nothing yet... emailed my dealer, but no response.

My #1308 is due on 7/25/2008 to 10/23/2008 too! They are probably being built the same day. I called Smart last week and they told me that the car wasn't in production yet, and I wasn't assigned a dealer yet either. Can't wait to get my Yellow/Black soon, so I can put my vanity plate "SMARTCAR" on it.

I wonder what part of the 90 days we will get it. Anyone know about what part of the 90 days people are reciveing them in?

Judging from what others have said on this forum, it varies. My case: My DDE currently says '6/4/2008 to 9/2/2008' ... but, up until yesterday the start was 6/11/2008. This most recent change is interesting because for the past few days I've been in daily contact with my dealer, who has informed me that my car has landed and I can expect delivery in less than a week. Odd, huh? Since delivery is days away, the DDE says I might get it an additional week in the past. Anyway, in my case, at least, it looks like I'll be a month inside the window.

Surely experiences vary, but who do you trust for info, dealer or Smart USA?

I have a #1267 Resv and a DDE of 7/15 - 10/16. Mine started out in May, then June etc. Per my dealer the car is yet to be built! But as much as I like Rahal MB - Smart I am not sure how accurate this info is. I was given it after a number of calls about the car. I am 4.5 hours away and need a little heads up other than 'It's here!' type info. Dealer has never heard of a VIN before car is on the lot so I can't track it. Oh well...just wait it out....

My DDE is 6/21 to 9/28 and I havent heard anything from the dealer. I got anxious and went for another test drive and when I asked about my delivery the sales guy said the cars usually come toward the end of the DDE window. He looked me up on the computer and said that his screen had an estimated delivery date of 7/27 and he acted really suprised. I'm hoping the date on his computer was right! I also got my VIN when I was there and as of 7/2 my smarty is on the boat!! I heard some people got notified by their dealers when their Smarts were on the boat but I didnt hear anything.
