There are 2 in Md; Annapolis and Germantown, but there are also 2 in Northern Virginia which would likely be delivering to a lot of the Maryland DC metro folks.

I suppose Annapolis will be delivering to Baltimore-area folks. I am located in the same county as Annapolis.

Another thought on dealer fees

PAG has taken a "hands off" approach on these fees - distributor can't meddle in independent dealers' sales, etc. Fair enough, except many of the smart centers are owned by PAG dealers; it seems to me PAG would be able to set a policy for its own dealerships on smart sales, including dealer fees. Roger Penske owns those dealerships and, as the boss, can and should get them in line on the more exorbitant fees. So, if your smart center is Penske-owned, and you're not happy with their fees, my recommendation is to drop Mr. Penske a line at his corporate HQ and let him know how you feel. Just my .02.

I just called Manhattan center but they are closed. I'll try again tomorrow and Monday. Bloomington center is $50 per the Sales Manager a few moments ago over the phone.

Massachusetts Dealer Was Great

For those on this thread disappointed with greedy dealers, my dealer (in Massachusetts) told me that smart dealerships were a hot commodity during the application process. Penske only granted dealerships to those who had the best reputations, and he made it clear to them that if they dupe their customers for any reason he will pull their dealership (whether owned by PAG or not). So if you have any complaints about any dealership out there, simply complain (loudly) to Penske and I suspect he will deal with it. For the record, the Massachusetts dealer was superb. I could not have been happier with the buying experience, and I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. I wish I could afford those Mercedes he had in his showroom though....

I think in addition to the advertised prices that have been passed around, you should expect an extra $645 for a destination charge. And the dealer might stick on another $300 or so to prep the car and take care of registering it for you etc. I found both extra charges to be reasonable.

I think we should send this to Mr. Penske when we are finished so that he knows how these dealers are making him look bad on his promise. I am sure glad I do not live in Florida at the moment...even with 6 inches of snow on the ground.

smart center Buckhead will be open by 15 February, but that's what they are planning to charge as a documentation fee.
