Florida DOES seem to be the worst of all the states selling smarts.

Contact Smart - I think they are obligated to hold the car 30 days whether they like it or not.

Also wouldn't hurt to complain to Smart about the added fees and request that the car be delivered to you at another dealer of your choice.

Several people have posted that the dealer is not giving them 30 days, It woud be great if someone could call and varify that for us. I plan on picking mine up on day 29 for reasons already posted.

The document fee at the Smart Center of Fairfield, CT is $299.00. In the area, White Plains still seems to be the dealer of choice.

What I am talking about is anything above and beyond MSRP, tax, title, license and destination charge.
Please list fees that are not included in the above.
From Highest to lowest dealer rip-off add on profit. Most are called "doc fees", some are called prep fees....even a notary fee!!!

Hi,
Just picked up my Smart two weeks ago. Love it!!!!

Dealer fees are up from $299 to $329. I questioned the increase and was advised that the fees WERE $299, but they just went up and were preprinted on the invoice, and could not be changed. But no sales tax in CT, so bought the extended warranty, 60 mo/60,000 miles for $995.
