My Dealer Called!

Got a call from the dealer too a few minutes ago, left a message as I was out. I'll call them back Saturday. I might go down tomorrow too, just to see the facility. Hmmmmmm.

Also just picked up the e-mail from smart followed by one from the Riverside dealer (addressed to someone else, but hey, who cares!) 1176. More waiting but at least they know I exist.

I know...he'll just confirm what the email already said. But it's not as if he's busy selling cars.

He actually called me today before I had a chance to call him. Apparently, my car will be on the next transporter arriving sometime next week.

I took the opportunity to tell him not to let his service department drill the front bumper for the tag. I'll be using a "No-Holes" bracket from www.gominigo.com that screws into the tow lug receptacle. I already have one on my MINI and it looks much better that a bumper mount.

Smart is apparently not communicating very well with the dealers. According to my dealer, my car was loaded on an auto carrier on the 4th of February. From that, he estimated that the carwould be delivered to the dealership sometime last week. When I checked the Wallenius Cargo Tracking System, I was able to determine that my car was loaded onto the freighter Medea on February 4. No further info, but I'm estimating a 12 day voyage for a February 16 Port of Baltimore arrival.
