My Dealer Called!

Hey CL Congrats!

Big oh oh for the rest of us. It appears that the deliveries may be more dealer related than time stamp. If you reservation number is correct then it happened at 5:32:07 PM on March 19th. I believe there are 1000's earlier than that time????????????

Agree it might be dealer related:

Called my (expected) dealer. Bill Ussery in Coral Gables FL.

The smart rep said that they were not opening till late February and they would not have any cars before then.

The rep also stated that I would be contacted by smart USA to verify my configuration before the car goes into production, which - is the first I've heard of this.

I concluded CG smart knows very little and called smart USA to see who my dealer was. The very nice person stated "smart has not announced the dealers" and therefore could not tell me who my dealer is. Agggh!

Based on the information I have now it looks like I will not get my car till late Feb.

I'm amazed so far; calls from dealers in Germantown, MD and Milwaukee, WI. Nothing from New York, Chicago, LA at this point. Very interesting as Arte Johnson used to say.

It was announced that all cars scheduled for January would be sent to the nearest open dealership. So having your dealer open later won't delay your car. You'll just pick it up elsewhere.

I got an email and then called my product specialist in Round Rock this afternoon. I think they are waiting on the State of Texas to issue a dealers license, but I will be getting my car within the next 30 days. So a little more waiting for me....

I'm still waiting. I called my dealer this AM but he was in the dark (hadn't received his packet, apparently). According to my call to PAG, my dealer will be receiving his packet before the end of the day. This waiting is excutiating.
