My Dealer Called!

I keep looking to see if anybody from Michigan is being notified. You would think that dealership in particular would want to be the 'HERO' to its customers, since we not only look up to them as our state's only dealership, but also the hub of the nation for this whole Smart car affair. I'm sure there has to be at least ONE person available there to contact people.

No email yet here from smart USA. I did get the heads up from my dealer (pays to be friendly!) that my car is in their first batch next week!

No other info from him, yet.

I know you complain about everything that smart USA or the dealers do, but not every reservation holder is a member of the forum. I called my first eight reservation holders and none of them are members. I am sure plenty of people in Michigan got called, just not people that are on this site.

I'm a 9:18 1173er and the wait is now killing me! I've been really patient, but now that people are getting called...grrrrrrr. Anways. Sigh. I am happy for all of you getting called. I called SF Benz today and they said that their smart rep, Bill Scott is out all of this week. Wow. Anways, I guess I'll just have to wait.

I got the phone call just now from BH Benz. WMEEJ31X48K094515 is on the truck for me next week. Yellow/black/leather.

HD: Wife went in to HQ dealership in Bloomfield today. She was treated courteously. But the only information they claim to have is that the cars will be in next week. They don't know how many will arrive. (I wonder how many are coming back from the auto show, as they only have those three shown in the window).

They do not have THE LIST as yet, but expect it some time today. (It only has to come from HQ a block down the road.)

As of now, the sales people are all ready to go and just sitting around waiting... like us.

I know this is not a priority for the 1173 club but, anybody care to guess what the future will hold for those of us who are still as yet unconfirmed smart customers?

I don't know if my geochevysuzukitrackersidkick thing is going to hold up for another six months and since they took the res numbers off the side I can't guess as much as I once could.

That must have given you pleasure. What were their responses? BTW, Fred doesn't complain about EVERYTHING, only broken promises, and these promises were written ones on the smartUSA site.

The bottom line is that this was a gigantic undertaking, with many people putting time and effort into bringing the car to the USA. It's all GOOD!

i think everyone that's a 1173 should be getting a call- i'm a 1174 and just got a call from the devon, pa location for my car to come in next week

1173 here but so far nothing yet. I have already made contact with my dealer in Tulsa back before Christmas so they know I'm here. I hope I'm in the first round.
