I ordered in March 2007
Configured in November
Cargo Tracked and released from Baltimore on 3-7-2008
Took delivery 3-25-2008
Yellow Passion, alarm, power steering, 7 year warantee, 6 year tire and rim warantee.

On the way home, a man in a van sped up and slowed down, moving from lane to lane to get picture from all angles as I drove.

Car feels great to drive, comfortable, functional.

Really couldn't believe how fast she went and in a crosswind through I-10 enroute to Palm Springs, CA... let's just say, I felt safe, but she'll be my city car and my BMW will be my touring car... Worth the wait everyone...

I think my car might have been in the same shipment as yours. Except I'm in Arizona—which might mean a few more days of transport. I was told by dealer that it will be here soon. Curiously, what are the last 6 digits of your VIN. This might help me to determine if I should gear up for the call next week. I'm an 1188 and ordered a day before you.

115217 - this is a very funny coincidence, but I'm driving to Palm Desert via I-10 upon receiving my car in Riverside, CA yesterday and guess what? I passed an entire transport filled with Smarts heading toward AZ - I bet your car was on it - so, I guess I might have seen your car before you did... They are really fun to drive (yesterday I used Automatic, today I went for the paddles) the car loves 3000-3500 to shift... which I do manually - auto seems to shift a bit early for my liking... either way, it's a hoot to watch the expressions on people's faces - I wish I had a camera set up in the car...

Cool! They told me it was in transit and it would be very soon but not until April (2 more days until April). I have a feeling they will call me on my year reservation date (April 3rd). I'm so excited

Thats exciting news. I ordered in May '07, number 1226. Maybe I'll drive down to Long Beach and watch them unload, looking for white/silver with beige interior. Hope Sea Doc is right on for Sparky...

I thought West coast deliveries could not be tracked. Where did you do your tracking? I may my VIN soon and would love to be able to track it.

nscaler, his dealer has been very open with him concerning his car. They told him what ship his vehicle was on and the he went to the tracking thread and determined when the ship would arrive in Long Beach.
