So a week or so in and only 1173 and 1174 (and few orphans) have gotten cars.

My wife and I are 1173's, not sure when we configured.
My car is a Passion Cabriolet, yellow with black cell
I got the comfort package, fog lights and the guages.
My wife has a blue Cabrio with silver cell equiped the same way as mine.
My car arrived last week, but had some damage, it is ready for pick-up today.
My wife's arrived last night and we will pick it up tomorrow.
Our dealer is Universal City

My Dad picked up his Passion from Laguna Niguel yesterday. Here I am about to take a spin around the Peninsula in it (thanks Dad!):



As you can see, the car is blue on silver, it has a black interior. He configured it with power steering and the extra instruments. I'm a 1263, and configured the same way, except I chose white on black with a red interior. I'd say there's a good chance this is the first Smart on the Peninsula. And yes, it was an attention getter!

I drove it in manual and found it very easy to get the hang of the paddles (as well as the stick). The fact that it will down-shift for you I thought was really cool. It was a sunny day out and being able to view the sky through the roof was just awesome!

My Dad has taught me well when it comes to cars, he waited for this one for a LONG time. Can't wait to get mine!

This car seems to drive and handle more solidly than the Street tour car did last Summer. It has a more solid feel to it and the transmission shifting is really not all that objectionable at all. When my wife drove it she said that it shifted just like a clutch car except without operating the clutch with her left foot.
I am a very happy camper now that I have my Smart.
Tomorrow I will take my first daylight drive to work in it and will also show it to all the coworkers anxiously wanting to see it in my works parking lot.
