Anyone take delivery of Rally Red yet? I would love to see it with a real camera and not on a website. I ordered Rally red with black triton so would love to see that more. Cabrio would make me drool. Thanks everyone.
If you want to see Rally Red live, visit a MBenz dealer and look at an C Class painted Mars (non-metallic) red. They are supposed to be the same color except that smart Rally Red is MIC.
Side note-the current painted metallic red probably turns too orangeish because smart's colorists formulated too much mica or metal-flake in the paint, which in turn causes the color to appear lighter and yellower than the base red.

someone on here posted that they used a 'gold' metalflake in stead of silver, thus causing the "Orange" appearance.......
i HAVE been by the MB dealer (they're right next door to, and own, SCI) and have seen the "Mars Red" on a couple models. while i liked it, it wasnt' BRIGHT enough for me. i was hoping more for a Viper or Corvette Red....you know, BRIGHT RED!!!!
hmmmm... well my dde is Oct 11 -Jan 9, 2009 and it will be a 2008. I'll be a bit disturbed if 2009's are delivered before my 2008. That would be messed up!

If you like Heinz Ketchup!! Well a little redder, Mars Red, OK. If I know the German's it ain't no bright fire engine red!! Vermilion, is more like it!! The old VW BUG was not bright red, my 1976 VW Rabbit was a very bright red!! But MB as far as can remember, has not had a production car that was a bright red. Mars red is about as bright as it gets!! The only hope is that the solid panels are as bright as my Yellow Passion that I now have!!!I to Order a "Rallye Red" Passion, and red/blk interior, Silver cell. That was what my first was to be. But when I saw the demo's on tour. I then changed the color to yellow, that turned out to be a wise move! As it turn out was only a one year run in the US market. The big question that I had posted is, why Smart did not have REAL COLOR CHIPS/ or a front Bonnet of the new RED or Gray on display!!! That would have stopped all this Blogging!!! Real BS and We Have to gamble on the color and hope its what we want and like!! Really not fair, to wait all this time and get a color that you really don't care for!!

I recieved a call from the dealer in Aug, 14th and was told that the Ralley Red was unorderable at the time due to availbality of the paint being short. All orders for that colour, and the new grey, were being changed to silver by the factory, and that delivery would be in October. I told MB Canada that I would wait for the red and was told that it might be Dec. 08 or later.
