hmmmm... well my dde is Oct 11 -Jan 9, 2009 and it will be a 2008. I'll be a bit disturbed if 2009's are delivered before my 2008. That would be messed up!

I configured mine on Aug 26th, the day after they said the new specks on the 09s. And, I picked Rally Red. So, that being said, when did you config yours. My DDE is Oct - Dec 08. So, should be a 09 that I get.

There is NO way that they would not have the materials to made the panels!! To be frank, His dealer gave him BS, period!! They have production to meet, and cars to sell! No way, no how! So let us move on!

I have almost the exact same situation. Configured the first week of September. Looking to see an 09 Rally Red/black/red cabrio in by driveway before the end of 08. DDE says Oct-Dec 08. I like that Mars red in the pictures! Got my fingers crossed that's the what it's going to look like. I am really curious about the new interior. It's amazing the dealers don't at least have a color sample by now.

Is that in hope of maybe getting one of the new Electic versions?? I can't wait that long, I would loose interest in the car all together if I had to wait 10 more years. And think of it this way. If you step out. Then step back in, who knows how many ppl are in line. You might not even get a 2010. You might get a 2011 or 12.
I have the strange situation that I now have 2 cars on order, one gas, one electric. I'm planning on getting the smart and when (if) the Aptera comes out, if all is as it should be, I'll get that and determine what to do with the smart (I have a son turning 16). I also think the electric smart looks good.
