Took delivery yesterday of my Red/Black Passion from Laguna Niguel. Evidently, they received a large shipment this past week. Mark, the manager, sent me an email, then received a call from Stacy. Left work early and picked up the Smart after a very painless and professional experience with the folks at Laguna Niguel.The whole process only took two hours or so.
As I was processing paperwork with Stacy, a visitor stopped in and introduced himself, Dave Schembri! That was quite a surprise! Got his business card!
All in all a pleasant experience. Drove the 25 miles home, great fun. No problems staying up with traffic on the 405 freeway. Matter of fact, before I knew it, was going over the speed limit. Had the windows tinted today, looks good, will post some photos tomorrow. All systems are go and it is a pleasure to drive. Well worth the wait. Only added fog lights and the red metallic paint, purchased an additional one year warranty (so good for 36 months/36,000 miles). Out the door for $16,220.44. Waiting to pick up velour floormats and the rear cargo cover once in inventory at dealership.
Reserved 15 Apr 2007 (1200), configured 10 Nov 2007 and picked up on 11 April 2008.
Tried to order a personalized plate online today. Wanted "Agent 99" or "Get Smart" but both were unavailable, perhaps someone else already ordered them.
