A correct answer! I didn't know that I'd create so much hype and suspense by posting that I might get a car on Thursday or Friday. Well, here's an update (sorry, no test drive yet).

Well, long story short they want some more down than expected. The financial institution that my mom uses for her Envoy is offering better than the others we tried (MB Financial = ). And since I'm going to be paying for the car all by myself (responsibility ) I'll have to wait a little longer so I can have more to lay down on the table. It was a blow, but more disappointing than crushing...

The smart I want did happen to get sold the day before I came, but Milwaukee has the absolutely perfect one there, is a smart center able to deliver an Orphan to another dealer?

I like the payments they offered. They'll allow for me to have extra cash for whatever (CC, X-mas presents, panel swaps, chrome pack, ect.).

As I'm used to, I get things later then expected. I was originally supposed to get my license in June but my school failed to do what they were supposed to do .

So if history repeats itself, I will get a smart but later than originally wanted. I'm actually fine with that, as long as I get the thing!

P.S. In happier news, since I have my new license I visited Lake Michigan for the first time today! That was some cold water

That's great! When we got to the dealer the smart I was looking at was no longer there. I was about to get one without a bit of options but now I'm going to see if they can get the one from Milwaukee over here. Sticker is just $200 more so that shouldn't affect too much.

Update: Everything's still going a little slow, soon I'll be seeing if I can get an Orphan in Milwaukee shipped over here. Of all of the 100 Chicago Orphans available, none of the coupes have a silver trid and have the options I'm looking for (heck, I'd even wait for the tach and clock if possible). And of the ones that aren't, they seem to be missing accessories that the dealer cannot install like the factory alarm (big issue to me, dumb*** smart tippers).

If I wasn't paying for the car, I'd just accept any smart.
