Sheila121,
Which dealer were you talking about?

"curtis", i believe i had read this before in a prevous email from smartusa. the most recent one tells me that they are serious about giving the customers what they want.

i know you're about as much an 'electric man' as i am a 'diesel' man, but which, if any, of these possiblities would you consider? as much as i hate diesel, i would consider a CRD-Hybrid if it gave me near 100 mpg's otherwise, i'm going ELECTRIC!

i just hope they offer one of those other choices whenever i get to CONFIGURE! otherwise, i'll just take my 3cyl Mitsubishi gas-engined smart and RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!!!!

i'm not sure electric makes any more sense than gas until we have figured out a sustainable way of making electricity too. most of our electricity comes from coal plants.
image if all the cars on the road were plugins. we would be having the exact same issues we are having now with gas, perhaps worse issues.
ever been to china where everything is coal-powered? talk about your black-lung disease and permanent grey smog. yikes.

maybe you're right, but the way i see it you can 'fuel' alot more cars on electricity than gas for the same amount of emissions. seems to make sense to me. as for all the electric plants running on coal, they do need to rethink those and convert them to nuclear plants. you can have far fewer nuclear plants producing MORE power than those fueled by coal.

of course there IS another thought on 'zero emissions' when it comes to commuting. WALK! hey, if it was good enough for the Geico Caveman, it should be good enough for US!
