Switching delivery locations?

Has anyone had the opportunity to try the new system out yet? Just wondering what's involved and when do you get to tell smart usa which smart center you want the car delivered to? Thanks!

I was told by Smart Headquarters that once Smart lets you know the car is being shipped, that being the 30 day notice, you have the option to let them know a zip code where you wish to pick the car up from. As long as the zip code is somewhere in the delivery zone for the port the car is due to be dropped at, there should not be a problem to have the change made. I believe there are three ports where the cars are being sent, with two of the ports on the east coast, and one on the west coast.

switch delivery destinations

Good luck they would not let me switch delivery dealers even though the car comes into the same port I perfer Hartford but am forced to get it in fairfield.

If you are referring to the new reservation system, I have heard there is going to be a drop down to select from the list of dealers scheduled to be open by that time.

We have been instructed to have all reservation holders that wish to have their vehicles delivered to an alternate location to call smart 1. However, I would also call the dealer you want to take delivery from to let them know so they can start the follow up process to make sure it happens.
