Congrats DenverSmart, Took delivery of my Red and Black last Saturday from Knoxville #1232. As I arrived at the house someone followed me into the driveway...gave out my first brochure. I know you will enjoy
Congrats on your Smart. Mine is #1260 configured on 2-5-2008 and the Denver site is my dealer and they can tell me nothing. Interesting how you got yours first. My delivery date estimator is stuck on 8-4-2008 and has been for the last 14 days. I wonder what that means.

My EDD is stuck on 8/7/08. But the difference with me, I reserved on 8/31/07 and confirmed on 5/21/08. On 8/8/8 I got my VIN number from the dealer, and I track it. The date my car was put on the ship was 8/8/8 and it's just left Belgium today, and due in Baltimore on 8/23/08. Most people in the forum say it takes a week for the dealer to get it. The Dealer says I should get it about the 3rd of September.
Just a guess if yours is stuck on 8/4/08 then that is about when it shipped, and you should be getting it too in the last week in August or the 1st week of September too.

Good Luck!
Thanks for the Information. It helps to have something to track along with. I don't understand why the dealer is so indifferent when they should be more excited to help. How hard can customer service be at this point? A lesson could be learned from The Mini folks. Thanks again.

If your dealer is like mine, they've gotten rid of all their "smart" people leaving the Mercedes salemen to handle smart customer service. The smart center is deserted except for three lone cars that are being stripped for parts and nothing else. We didn't even close on my car at the smart center.
Obviously, the Mercedes people would rather be delivering Merc's, which pay their bills, and not smarts, which provide the salespeople trump change and not much more, and it shows! I felt like a second class citizen each time I walked into the Mercedes dealer asking about smarts.
