I do believe you are correct about that. But, shoppers are not limited to one area. Which explains someone contacting me from Missouri. But, I didn't pursue it, seemed too complicated to me. Oh, and that was regarding my non-running 1995 Dodge Neon. Seems fishy.

Well, if they want to come get it, thats fine. The guy buying my bike is having someone from ubid come get it. No bike with out the money. Speaking of fishy, a guy from CL wanting to buy my 'product' for $4000. I had to come home early today (my tooth had a wicked cavity and my company isnt sure they want to pay for dental and I cant concentrate) and UPS had delivered the "check". Its a good forgery. Even has a watermark and everything. Im turning it in to Wells Fargo tomorrow.

for my part, i've tried something like carmax, and they wanted to give me only $13k for a car i bought for $28k 3 years ago and kbb's for >$21! i turned it down. i tried craig's list--not a single phone call. callingallcars.com--no calls. local paper and thrifty nickel--one call from the local one. priuschat.com--one message. most calls i've gotten have been from my husband driving it to work with for sale sign and parking it on busy street there. this economic time is NOT the best time for me to be selling it, but i'll have to or it will put me in the poor house!

And I bet MB still isnt taking trades. I would try ebay. Its free and you only pay $125 if someone wins. I would start the bid at what you need and see what happens. No one won any of mine, but I got offers. At least get out from underneath it.

Ok, just wanted to let you guys know that I called the dealer yesterday and they said my smart should be here on Jan 12th! W00T! I wont be able to go pick it up till the 17th, but thats fine. Keep the good thoughts and the Prayers coming! We still not have been aproved for the loan. Since it will be here early, it looks like we have $3500 for the down instead of $4000 like we were hoping. Most here said that shouldn't affect the chances of me getting the loan too much but I need all the help I can get! Thanks guys!

Im not sure of your credit score but mine was in bad shape I had a 516 and was required to put down $4500 to get approved for a Cabrio with leather at $18500. So if you bring less then you may be ok if the price of the car is less but please by all means try to bring $4000 at tthe least and if you can borrow the other $500 to bring $4500. For the economy is in bad shape so banks are even more strict then when I picked up my Smart in April.

Our score isnt much better. I love this little car, but wish it came about a month later so we could put some tax money into it. I may just do that.
