Blue/black/beige Orphan.
Fogs, heated seats, Power steering, and alarm.
Almost exactly what I wanted. But I love it.
The drive home was fun, extreme downpour and 70F..
Insurance is a little whack, but meh. I GOT IT!

Congrats!
What do you mean, about the insurance?
Earlier, some companies didn't know about the smart NOT being a grey import. You may have to check with your agent about the VIN, be sure that it's listed as a 451 and not a 450. The latter are (or used to be) more expensive to cover...
Yeah, I didn't even think about that. It was my now former company.. allstate. But the 08 is listed on their site, but not the 09. So they must know about it, at least.
6 month premium $1900, it has to be for the 450.. she said "parts are expensive" Now that I think of it.
Safeco was $1500, only the 08 listed.
Geico: 09 smart listed, $780 6 months.
Still a bit high, but good for being new to being my own insurance and not on anothers policy...
I'd hate to cancel it so quickly if there was a bad mistake on allstate's part.
Yeah, I added mine to the policy today and it was only $244 for 6 months, and they took $60 off that for the 2-car discount. I was impressed it's so cheap.

Otherwise it'd of been a bit more, even. Lovely.
Was all that from Safeco? I don't remember all those popping up on the Geico site. I noticed that once I put in the VIN it populated most of the other car data itself.

That's straight from Geico.. I think the Line was "Anti-theft" not active alarm system.. but yes. That's what I got from geico.
