Cherry Hill, NJ update.

AliSmart, the first smart we drove was a blue/silver on St Barth's in 2002. That's when Jane said, "If we could get one of these in the USA, I'll get a Drivers License". When we ordered our smart, Jane selected yellow/black.
People love the color! Of course ANT BEE is my play toy until Jane gets licensed.

and the 3rd one would be white with....

I just ran the DDE and got back response of: May - July 2008 :woohoo
I'm pretty ok with waiting if it's going to be around that time period. It just makes me want to get all my stuff in order sooner then later.

The "bee" configuration was also one of my choices....went a bit more conservative though with a white/silver/red....oh well. My DDE is 4/6-7/5.

My date was bumped up two months as well. Sadly it's not enuff. My Neon is no longer reliable for anyting but going to work. I'll Know today whether C. Hill is going to follow thru on their orphan. Film at eleven.

SmartBob, Give smart center Devon PA a call or visit. They had lots of smarts out front when we drove by last Saturday.

My DDE is 4/6 - 7/5, and I have a call in to Ed at Cherry Hill to see if he can find out any more info. I think there will be many more instances of cars showing up at the dealer "unannounced" by VIN. The dealer could track the first deliveries by the last 4 of the reservation, but not so sure the documents they receive from Smart show that anymore.

Well, that's it for me. My dealer can't get me an orphan in time and I need reliable transportation now. Enter, Toyota Yaris, my #2 choice...which I'm still quite happy with. Good luck to all of you with your cars. Maybe in a year or two I'll trade up, who knows.

Smart Man: They have a boatload of cars in the lot right now. I was talking to Ed. As many have said here....they don't know who gets what till the little buggers arrive. Man, that is a real lack of communication on Smart's part. I don't get that at all.
